July 13, 201510 yr For some strange reason, I cannot set the MCP altitude to 35100 using a voice command. I have tried "Set altitude 3 5 1 hundred" but I get ignored. (despite the words being correctly interpreted and displayed by the recognition software) "Set altitude 3 5 zero hundred" gives me 35000 and works fine as does "Set Altitude 3 5 thousand" Am I to use the "Set Flight Level" command instead ? as this appears to work. July 13, 201510 yr Setting such altitude doesn't make any sense. Why should you set it at all? July 13, 201510 yr Setting such altitude doesn't make any sense. Why should you set it at all? Flying in China or Mongolia perhaps? http://www.chinarma.cn/u/cms/www/201405/0614161748o9.jpg Simon Kelsey

July 14, 201510 yr I'm pretty sure "Set flight level 3 5 1" works OK. Anything above the transition level should be set by FL not altitude. I think most TA in China are 3000m (9800ft) Rog Rog Hanson
