PMDG & KLM MTWs ?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I am still very new to tubeliners so I apologise in advance if this question is dumb BUT

I used the PMDG Operations Centre to Download and install the PMDG 737-800 WL and the MTW according to the FMC is 174.7 tonnes

I then did the same for the KLM 737-800 WL and the KLM 737-900 and the MTW according to the FMC is 79.2 tonnes

Other liveries that I have downloaded also seem to have odd MTWs i.e Ryanair.

Is there something odd going on or is it my lack of understanding, 79.2 tonnes does not seem correct?

Regards Colin

Make sure to pay attention to what the aircraft is using for weights. Airlines use a mix of KGs and LBS depending on where in the world they're based.

174.7 tonnes, it can't be for the 737, it is way to heavy. > 174.7 lbs (pounds).

And if you convert: 174.7 lbs = 79.1 tons.

You just got confused with the units.

And so that just goes to prove that I am still a total beginner. Thank you guys that was the problem and took 2 seconds to fix. I wish I had asked earlier because I would have saved myself a load of time. Very much appreciated.

Welcome. This one was definitely one for the forum. There's a lot of stuff that can be picked up by reading the Intro Manual, too, if you haven't yet.

Kyle,

Now I know what to get you for Christmas, a t-shirt that says "RTFM".  Then you can update your photo avatar with you wearing the shirt...no need to write anything in your replies except for "see avatar". :D

Haha - even if I point to the manual, though, I'll still try to provide a summary here. It's a little more helpful.
