Worth installing?...John H.

It appears that the concensus of users who have installed it that it makes a difference when it comes to mesh resolution.  Many places have been pointed out around the virtual world where FreemeshX looked better and more accurate than Pilot's mesh (who actually is responsible for the terrain mesh that works with ORBX).  I own Pilot's although I had also downloaded Freemesh...just haven't had the courage to switch the two.  Check out the other threads here at AVSIm where there are plenty of screenshots as well as feedback from the users.

I didn't think FTX ORBX sold a global mesh product? Anyway, it happily complements FTX Global Textures, OpenLC and Vector when sat under them. FreeMeshX is a great upgrade to extent that I wouldn't bother buying sole mesh products such as FS Global 2010 and FS Genesis. I believe ORBX regional products include mesh, but I'm unsure as to the resolution

In my post, #4, I clarified about who makes the mesh, which is Pilots.  The ORBX team uses Pilots mesh for their scenery development so I can understand the confusion.
