September 24, 201510 yr Has anyone tried this free mesh?...said to be better (in most respects) than Orbx Global and if installed corrrectly, compatable with Otbx Global and Vector....see link below....thanks, John H. http://xtrnets.com/evntech/freemeshx/
September 24, 201510 yr Yes, it behaves nicely with Orbx products. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe
September 24, 201510 yr It appears that the concensus of users who have installed it that it makes a difference when it comes to mesh resolution. Many places have been pointed out around the virtual world where FreemeshX looked better and more accurate than Pilot's mesh (who actually is responsible for the terrain mesh that works with ORBX). I own Pilot's although I had also downloaded Freemesh...just haven't had the courage to switch the two. Check out the other threads here at AVSIm where there are plenty of screenshots as well as feedback from the users. -Jim Engage, research, inform and make your posts count! -Jim Morvay Origin EON-17SLX - Under the hood: Intel Core i7 7700K at 4.2GHz (Base) 4.6GHz (overclock), nVidia GeForce GTX-1080 Pascal w/8gb vram, 32gb (2x16) Crucial 2400mhz RAM, 3840 x 2160 17.3" IPS w/G-SYNC, Samsung 950 EVO 256GB PCIe m.2 SSD (Primary), Samsung 850 EVO 500gb M.2 (Sim Drive), MS Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit
September 24, 201510 yr Has anyone tried this free mesh?...said to be better (in most respects) than Orbx Global I didn't think FTX ORBX sold a global mesh product? Anyway, it happily complements FTX Global Textures, OpenLC and Vector when sat under them. FreeMeshX is a great upgrade to extent that I wouldn't bother buying sole mesh products such as FS Global 2010 and FS Genesis. I believe ORBX regional products include mesh, but I'm unsure as to the resolution ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.

The ORBX team uses Pilots mesh for their scenery development so I can understand the confusion. -Jim Engage, research, inform and make your posts count! -Jim Morvay Origin EON-17SLX - Under the hood: Intel Core i7 7700K at 4.2GHz (Base) 4.6GHz (overclock), nVidia GeForce GTX-1080 Pascal w/8gb vram, 32gb (2x16) Crucial 2400mhz RAM, 3840 x 2160 17.3" IPS w/G-SYNC, Samsung 950 EVO 256GB PCIe m.2 SSD (Primary), Samsung 850 EVO 500gb M.2 (Sim Drive), MS Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit
