I thought this is a really serious topic to discuss about, but I was wrong.

It is because everyone wants to be the captain of the aircraft, ship, submarine or Starship Enterprise and simulators let you do this.

And probably nobody wants to break the monotony and take the seat of FO...

Most FS2Crew user's don't want to be the PNF because they'll take a paycut (we'll assume the FO is the PNF) and they'll also lose a stripe off their monkey bars on their shoulder  :wink:

 

That and the fact for us to make the computer be the Pilot Flying, the entire leg would have to be totally scripted, and everything would need to go exactly right for it to work.  Otherwise your simulated PF (Captain) might be taking the high road to China instead of going to your intended destination.
