1.7 crashers all the time

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just installed the new 1.7

The firs time I ran it within P3Dv3 all seemed fine, closed the main window, crash

No every time I try to open FS2Crew, it crashers P3Dv3

Clean install of 777 and I waited for this new version of 777 (1.7)

Any ideas?

Installed as admin etc, never had problems within fsx or P3d v2.5

Ya it got me too, those crashes, As soon as I push the button to start FS2crew, Bloop! And just like you, the first time ran great?  I'm too tired right now, but tomorrow I'm going to uninstall the 777, FS2 crew and start again. I goofed with mine to try to get FS2C to work when V3 came out. So, I'm thinking that is it, I don't know if that applies to you, but just a thought.

Send me a Support Ticket via: www.fs2crew.com

We'll do a remote desktop.

I suspect your panel.cfg is messed up, but we'll see.

Cheers,

UN-installed FS2Crew and the 777

Re-installed and this time did NOT change anything within the config e.g. call gear up.

All seems fine now.

Can I/we back up a file so if I now change some setting and it screws up again I can copy a back up back in. ?

Glad you got it sorted.

The config settings are saved in the two INI files in this folder:

C:\Users\***your user name****\AppData\Roaming\FS2Crew2010\Versions\PMDG777\SavedData

I'm guessing you're running VPilot, and you changed the On-Line ATC Client setting to 'Yes'?

If running VPilot in Prepar 3D V3, that setting needs to be set to No.

I also come from a totally clean 777 and it crash hitting the autofeather main menu button.

Strange thing is that Virtual Avionics tells me that Databroadcast is not enabled but it looks like its in there by default now under  SDK in PDMG777Xoptions.ini

Strange

EDIT: will try a test flight without immersion and VA ,

1. The "enable sdk" lines in PMDG Options is not there by default  The FS2Crew installer has to add that line.  If it doesn't show up, it usually means you have a write permission issue.  Ensure everything is run with Admin rights.

2. Your crash sounds like your panel.cfg is messed up.

  • Uninstall the PMDG 777 aircraft.
  • Manually delete the leftover 777 folder in the "SimObjects" folder.  That's important.
  • Re-install the 777 and re-enable FS2Crew.

You are now totally "clean".  Your panel.cfg will be clean.

9 times out of 10, that solves it.

Glad you got it sorted.  Your panel.cfg was no doubt messed up.
