October 23, 201510 yr Decided to finally purchase my first addon airport and chose Flightbeam's KSFOHD. Followed all the instructions to the letter and not only do I have no buildings at KSFO I have lost my GSX and Addon Manager from my top menu. Redownloaded everything making sure ALL antivirus software was off. Reloaded and still the same problem. Wouldn't mind just chalking up the Flightbeam purchase to a bad experience and going back to the original but must have my GSX back. Would appreciate any help. October 26, 201510 yr Commercial Member We often get support emails relating to missing buildings with the user swearing they've already switched off antivirus, however in almost every single case there's something missed, such as: - Some users unknowingly have multiple security programs installed - Many forget Windows comes with Windows Defender, which also blocks our installation - Some customers turn off antivirus during install, then turn it back on when they start FSX. You have to exclude the files as seen in our FAQ: http://flightbeam.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2130 - Some users accidentally click NO when FSX/P3D asks you to trust Addon Manager during startup - A few folks, for some reason, don't have the proper Windows privileges. Running the installer as Administrator fixes that. - If all else fails, check your DLL.XML and EXE.XML to see if the Addon Manager and Couatl entries are there and trusted. - Lastly, since day 1 we've been in this business I can confidently say that 99.9% of ALL cases relating to missing buildings is caused by security software. So please double check your security software and follow the FAQ on excluding files before emailing. Hope this helps.
