P3D v3 Content Error Upon Exit

Featured Replies

Everytime I quit v3 I get this now.

Any ideas?  I did browse to that directory and found some stuff referencing Milviz C310 effects (I don't have the 310 installed... in fact they dont have a v3 installer yet)

I get an error most of the time i exit too,  to be honest ive stopping looking as it doesn't seem to effect the Sim.  Would be interesting though if someone could put there finger on it

Have you opened to see what the log.txt file says.  I was getting this message and found it was being caused by an aircraft I installed myself.  Simply removed the offending files and now the world is right!

Yeah now it says something about Latin VFR KSAN autogen textures not loading.  So apparently it's like a little debugger thing - pretty cool.

Hmmm.

Turn the error logging off. It was there for developers and was left on by default in error. Context errors are non critical and typically can be ignored.

What Vic said. If you turn it off in the GUI it won't bother you anymore.

Start Prepar3D v3. Go to

OPTIONS,

SETTINGS,

GENERAL.

At top left, you will see two check-boxes: `Scenario Error Logging` and `Content Error Logging.`

Ensure BOTH are Unchecked

Done !

@ Vic and Loius

Great stuff, will deffo do that

Ryan, as it happens many Milviz products use the C310 effects, as it seems a bit pointless and wasteful to have duplicated files with different filenames...

Also, I finally managed to track down why the MilVizC310_TaxiBloom_01.fx was generating a peculiar error. It seems that somewhere along the line a few "garbage characters" managed to insinuate themselves just before the

[Library Effect] entry, which caused the ContentErrorLog parser to throw up the error message.

Honestly, I'm not all that sanguine about the usefulness of the system, because many of the so-called "errors" aren't...
