October 28, 201510 yr Those things are a freak out when seen for the first time. Its proper name is Mola Mola, aka the Ocean Sunfish (obviously not to be confused with its lake dwelling kin). The Monterey Bay Aquarium usually has a less huge specimen you can see swining around up close (well, sort of) in their open ocean exhibit. At one time they had a not so huge great white shark in there too. Another large thing that blows the mind when seen in person for the first time are the Moffet Field hangars: https://www.google.com/search?q=moffett+field+hangar+1+images&biw=1464&bih=816&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0CBwQsARqFQoTCKD1oJ3u5cgCFcrvJgodb6UPZQ. No photo can do the size of this thing justice. It sits close to where I work, and we all hope that its skin will be replaced soon. It was stripped a few year ago becauses its skin was leaching PCBs. Right across the runways are Hangers 2 & 3 which are impressively sized as well. I would be doing the same. It is known to get as large as 2,200 lbs so, it if is sitting on top of you, that could be an issue. I'm glad it has finally been identified and known to be in warmer or tropical waters around the world and not something that was just discovered (thanks to Gonemad!). October 30, 201510 yr I know that UTX USA and FTX NorCal have the hangars modeled such that they can be flown through using a single engine GA aircraft (or the F-18 at mach 1.5). The model's interior does a good job of depicting its internal structure (yes, been there done that). Moffet Field is located at the most southern end of the San Francisco bay in California. I wonder if anyone has done a FSX model of the "skeletal" Hangar 1 yet; to be completely "realistic" FTX should have done this with their NorCal release .
