October 30, 201510 yr I have found that for the GS to work, the "GPS/NAV" switch needs to be moved to "NAV" if you were on GPS navigation. Regards, P. October 31, 201510 yr As I reported and illustrated at flightsim.com, the default Maule does have glideslope needles on the HSI. You simply have to ensure that the runway in service has both localizer and glideslope available of course. I chose KGYY for this test since I know that both criteria are met there: Yes. Bill is of course correct. And you must have your supporting NAV radio set to the frequency of the ILS, and you must have the ILS radial set on your HSI or omni instrument, and you must actually fly the approach to enter and fly the ILS approach properly. The glideslope, as used in the question is a paired radio frequency and banded signal broadcast from the ground and is no more in the aircraft than is the ATC controller you hear on your COMM radio. If you are not flying in the envelope of that broadcast band you will not see the indications you are looking for.
