October 29, 201510 yr Hi I have my Saitek quadrant levers assigned to the second set of levers as propeller axis on all my twin props. On the MU2, the second set of levers are mixture controls, therefore I cannot control the rpm of my engines, making taxing very difficult. Does anyone know a workaround of how to control the rpm of the engines without having to buy FSUIPC? Many thanks John

Many thanks John keyboard commands for props are ctrl +F1 .. to F4 if you Google keyboard commands for flight simulator you should find a pdf file that list them all. e bob edit just thought after posting flightsim ware don't use/ map standard keyboard commands hmmm! does the MU-2 have a prop axis lever ctrl + Shift F1... F4 for mixture works on the MU-2 so they are mapped.
October 29, 201510 yr Hi, In the MU-2, the props are coded to the simulator's "mixture" axis, rather than the prop axis. So assigning your prop levers to mixture will allow them to work in the aircraft. Hope I understood you right, if not apologies. If I asign my prop levers to mixture, that will fix it. However, when I want to fly another twin prop, I would have to change it back and forth. I was hoping there might be an easier way. Thanks John
October 30, 201510 yr Thats where the payware version of FSUIPC is so useful - per aircraft control assignments.
October 30, 201510 yr Fsuipc will probably be the cheapest most usefull thing you ever buy for FSX. Cant do without it.

Thanks John can you not just export your current set of controls, change the axis you want and then export that. then just import the set you wish to use. bob
October 30, 201510 yr Author can you not just export your current set of controls, change the axis you want and then export that. then just import the set you wish to use. bob Bob I am not using FSUIPC. How do I export the default FSX controls? John
October 30, 201510 yr Bob I am not using FSUIPC. How do I export the default FSX controls? John Sorry John, I'm in p3d mode, forgot fsx does'nt have that function to import and export control settings, the only other way I think of is (apart from using keyboard commands) maybe is to have a second joystick plugged in with a free lever axis. bob
October 30, 201510 yr Or just set a spare button to the mixture control - I use Page up and Page Down. You only adjust the levers once after startup or once after t/d anyway, so if you don't have FSUIPC it's probably not worth the trouble of assigning levers.
October 30, 201510 yr Author Thanks for all the reply's guys. I'll go with the Page up and Page down option, it seems the least complicated. John
