November 2, 201510 yr Hi all Does anyone else have very bright (orange/yellow) nighttime ground textures at EGLL? It doesn't make a difference whether HDR is on or off. It appears to be some kind of layering issue. When I looked at the wheels of my 777, they appeared to be correctly sat on the ground, but somewhat sunk below the transparent bright layer causing this effect. I'm also not sure whether this will be a general issue not specifically related to AS EGLL - but that's where I noticed it. I have run the FTX Vector Auto-configurator, but this makes no difference. Any thoughts?
November 2, 201510 yr If you're flying with HDR on you need to disable a file called "Lichtlayer.bgl" in the scenery folder of EGLL.

November 2, 201510 yr Author Thanks Max. I'll try this tonight.. Do you specifically know whether what I and Michael are seeing is an effect of not disabling this bgl. It sounds like it could be.

November 2, 201510 yr Author Can't do screenies at the moment as I'm not at my PC. I'll post some tonight.
November 2, 201510 yr It sounds very much like an issue I had - with a strong orange-yellowish bright light all across the ground area. Renaming that file fixed it for me, so just give it a go and report back.

It appears to be the fix. Thanks or pointing it out.

Strange that with Latest P3DV3 EGLL installers that it does not disable it per automatic then ? Thanks apreciated Michael Moe Michael Moe
November 3, 201510 yr Author Just to confirm that disabling the EGLLlichtlayer.bgl as noted above, did work.
November 4, 201510 yr Strange that with Latest P3DV3 EGLL installers that it does not disable it per automatic then ? Thanks apreciated Michael Moe To be specific, the manual says to disable it when P3D HDR is enabled. If you're not using HDR in P3D you wouldn't get this problem - it's not a blanket issue with all P3D users. HTH Simon
