Simulator Comparisons

Thats interesting David. I am actually surprised to see around 10ish FPS difference between FSX SE and P3Dv3 (considering P3Dv3 has no AI).

If you have traffic in both at 0% what was your vas management like flying in both sims ?

Did you ever come very close to OOM with or without the binging sound in either of the sims ?

After takeoff I had used 3.5gb of VAS in p3dv3 and 2.3gb in FSX but I have FTX vector installed in p3dv3 so that explains some of the VAS usage.

But FTX Vector also costs significantly in performance, so maybe your comparisons aren't so valid?

For comparison purposes you can eliminate FTX vector in P3D by editing its SCENERY.CFG to make its layer (or layers?) temporarily non-active.
