Actually how tight she floats is user adjustable. You can access a 'leakage setting' on the bilge pump panel to set what ever leak rate you want, from no leakage all the way up to 'Hurry up or she'll sink'. They did a really nice job on this!

Great shots, I'll have to check it out!

 

Tried it in the new P3Dv3.1 water yet?  So far I haven't had much luck with float planes, but I've only tried the Aerosoft Twin Otter and the A2A Cub... both behaved horrible in the waves, bouncing flat and unrealistic... could be something I have set wrong though I suppose.  Would love to find a plane that I know works properly.
