I have excellent CH controllers on my desktop.

Now i have source for good gaming laptop that will run FS9 (won't run FSX good enough).

Will keep the laptop in living room front of TV.

Looking for a cheap joystick (programable) that will run in Windows 10.

I understand the Saitek all give problems with drivers in win 10.

Probably those are too expensive anyway.

 

Looking for a stick under $50.

I use a logitech wingman 3d pro.  Works like a champ in win 10 in P3D.    

I use and recommend Thrustmaster T.16000M [ cost ca 50$ ]

I had seen the T1600 but it was almost $80 on amazon.

So after reading your message, and the review you linked to,

I went back and sure enough when sold by Amazon itself rather

than Amazon associate, it was under $50.

he he, I just checked ebay, it sells for $45 including shipping or over $120 for the exact same thing depending where it is bought! The cheap place was at eBay seller Target and they sold 61 and many of those in January!

I also just bought the T1600.

I like the precision of it but I found the tension a little to high for my personal preference.

So I used the tyrap trick someone used for another joystick.

 

I used 3 tyraps on the top part of the spring. Tyrap the top most coil and the next lower coil together. 

I used three as this evened out the spring so it remains level (should have taken some pictures). 

 

Now the joystick is butter smooth but still centers nicely. 

I am using this one since at least 5 years and it still works great for me (never broke) under Win10 and P3Dv3.
