April 4, 201610 yr Hi Martin, The answer is in this forum: Delete FSUIPC.ini in your FSX\modules folder and all should be ok. Eric Happy Landings!Eric Öälders
April 4, 201610 yr I had this problem before, where I had a "brakes" message on all aircraft and I could do nothing about it. The fix was simply to go through and look for and delete any double entry assignments. Wish I could remember the specifics, but hopefully this will help. Chuck Nance
April 6, 201610 yr So no one has any fix to the brakes locking up on landing? If you forget to 'tap' the brakes soon after touchdown (easily done, as no other a/c in FS9/FSX needs this) it always happens. Too late much after 80KIAS, the brakes will not release I am only using FS9 menu keyboard shortcuts for brakes, not FSUIPC, and I don't use pedals. Someone suggested deleting the FSUIPC.ini file - which I doubted would change anything as I don't use FSUIPC for the MD-11 at all (and sure enough, it didn't). Thank you. Hi Martin, A few ideas. When you land and you "tip" the brakes to disarm the ABS, do you get the “ABS DISARM” light on the glare shield? When you still taxi at low speed, e.g..25kts, and turn the ABS to off, does this disarm the autobrakes? Rename your FS.cfg, which will force FS9 to rebuild a stock cfg file at reboot. This way, if you have any commands buried in your cfg file, they will be washed away. Remove your X52 and use keyboard (very clunky, I know, but may help isolate an issue). Reboot and then see how the auto brakes go. If now ok, then add your X52, and retry with no shortcut commands, if still ok, then try a shortcut command for the brakes. Do not use any saved flights for these tests, as they may have embedded dodgy commands Geoff Bryce
April 6, 201610 yr Author As soon as I get a chance to test this, I will, and post back. Thanks. Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
