Hi all, I have this litlle problem with the NGX: I searched the forum, but couldn't find it anywhere else. After landing, when I switch to external view and then back to the cockpit I hear a loud sound that wasn't there before. Is this a bug? Still love the bird

Hi all, It also happens on descend when ATC tells you to change your heading. I noticed that during cruise (cockpit is hardly/not moving) the knob sometimes doesn't seem to respond. (The AP is flying the plane and I want to keep the heading on course) Minor bug though. Love the plane!

Just to report back: My problem has been solved. Windows did put ".txt" behind my ICAO1ICAO2.wx file. Enjoy flying everybody!

Thanks Falcon999 and Ceri. I have created the file. When I try to use it I get Invalid entry as well. Maybe the guys from AS2012 can add an "Export to PMDG" button or PMDG acn make an Import from AS2012 one?

Frankly I don't like having to sign in to read (possible) news from PMDG. And even more frankly...Actually I'm not at all interested in the posts commenting on that news or on the lack of it from people outside of PMDG. Some seem to think they should reply to every question in any post. Sometimes they do not even need a question. That's it. So I shut up now and wait for the good people of PMDG to sell me their brilliant new products. Bit expensive though

Hey CT, If you are using FSINN than that's probably causing it. Choose "CAVOC" on the main control panel to try it. If that solves it, you can switch the FSINN weather permanently of in the settings.

I think history shows that over time all demands on system specs go up... If it's because of improved graphics I can live with it, but I sometimes get the feeling that it's also because every possible system fault has been programmed into the aircraft as well.

Hi guys, First of all: Thank you PMDG for your outstanding products. I wonder if it would be possible to have a sound option for online (VATSIM etc) flying. Now it's very hard to understand the controller since the cockpit noice is so present. In real life a headphone would keep that noice away and only transmit ATC, in FSX all sounds come through my headset. If only we could have an (let's call it) "multiplayer sound" option that would reduce all other noise (engines, environment etc) and focus on ATC.... I hope we can!

Thanks for your answers! Sorry for the missunderstanding: the problem occurs with some runways where the outside world (runway) is not located where it should be according to ILS reading in the plane. Nothing to do with obstacles. In other words: on a full ILS approach I don't end up correctly in front of the runway but all systems in the plane (NGX) try to tell me that I am spot on. I try to avoid default airports as much a s possible :)

Hi guys, On some runways I'm on a perfect ILS approach (according to FMC) but when I look out of the window the runway is a little more to the left/right. Anyone else have this problem? And better: a solution/trick? :) Thanks in advance!

Sad news my friends: On Monday July 2nd the first of 10 KLM MD11 (PH-KCH) has been retired. The last one will be retired in 2014. Today KLM is the only regular airline that still has sceduled MD11 passenger flights. Other airlines operate them on chartered flights or use the freighter.
