everything ok with PMDG?

Hi

There is total silence by PMDG.Even on their Facebook page. I saw the same with Airsimmer. As long as I don't see any presence of the company in their Customer Forum I have to think that they ran into deeper troubles.

I hope not.

Hopefully it just means they're hard at work.

Head over to Aerosoft's Airbus Exteneded Preview and read all the pages in both threads then come back and tell us what you think of the lack of communication by PMDG... which do you prefer? I know which I prefer... Silence is golden.

PMDG style. Lots of news in a short period and playing dead the rest of the time. They tried the monthly update a few time, but it never worked.

Robert should really try to make some video ala A2A, it really emphasis the commitment and passion about a project.

I'm still getting a lot of news from them, I'm a Beta-morron, Beta-bank, Beta-lost 50 bucks, Beta-tester, sorry.

Hi Benjamin

So they are still working on the bus? I gave it up long time ago. Bought it, but have never been able to do a complete flight. now I switched to Fsx. I can't understand PMDGs philosophy. If I would develop such a great product, I would want my fans or customers to see what I do and how it is progressing. Also I need an estimate of release. ( weeks , months or years) That would be important for future investment plans. It's not that I am just currious, I need that Information. So I prefer aerosofts way by the way.

I don't want to use PMDG forum for that, but never buy any product from them again, when you know that they are using outside staff to correct 4-5 bugs a year...

I don't know if it's :

- Lack of news, screenshots, tech, etc "I doubt".

- Too much work "Maybe, but post something take 2 minutes"

- Afraid of competitors "Probably the real reason, like FS labs and their A320"

Your point being? PMDG did exactly that. If there is something new to show then they will present it in due time. They have always done so in the past near the release of a product. One of the reasons for not showing an incomplete fligh deck might be, that the system logic and synoptics are not yet complete. If PMDG was to make a video now, it would be full of disclaimers and terms like: "not final, not finished, does not work yet". That approach to marketing is just not for them, I guess.

And what kind of investment are we talking about here? 60-80 USD. Just put aside a small amount each month and you are good. When this 777 hits the market it will reign supreme over its competitors in about every aspect.

After how the rabid crazies went on about MD11 and NGX news... I'm kinda glad they don't. Some of those threads were downright terrifying to behold.

Although I wouldn't mind a random screenshot here and there on the facebook. *boom* screenshot maybe a short caption. silence till next month cya and then heavily moderate the resulting replies if required, close comments after 3 weeks.

Well we don't all need pictures to symbolize news. At the time of the 737NG, they could have easily posted what was revolutionary about this addon every week for 24 months.

Have you really looked through all those horrible pre-release threads? This constant complaining, whining about why the release was delayed and it is unfair, please release it now and correct the bugs later (same people that would come back the next day asking how such an incomplete product could be released...) in combination with the "fan-boys" praising the "perfect" addon without having flown it yet? I rarther have silence and wake up one morning being blown away by the release of an (almost) flawless 777. And if it takes until Christmas 2015, well, than it takes until Christmas 2015, nothing we can do about it!
