October 1, 200520 yr Fellow Simmers,The FSWidgets EFB2004 has been released. This flight bag will be very handy.http://www.fswidgets.comBob
October 1, 200520 yr It does not appear to run on a networked computer via FSWide. It looks great, but if it cannot display the maps and charts on a second computer I will have no interest. Bob... Bob Prince
October 1, 200520 yr Caveat emptor. Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it.Check out the history of Sim Systems...this is the same guy. He bailed out...pulled the plug completely on SimSystems...left his customers high and dry with no support for his semi-functional products. Now he's back and wants us to trust him again? I think not.Bob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
October 1, 200520 yr Something at the back of my aged brain makes me recall that FSWidgets developed WeatherCenter2 which was pretty good. The product was then bought by Damian Clark at HiFi sim and is now the excellent ASV (but unrecognisable from WC2 except for FSBrowser). I wonder if EFB interacts with ASV.
October 1, 200520 yr >Something at the back of my aged brain makes me recall that>FSWidgets developed WeatherCenter2 which was pretty good.No...WeatherCenter was created by Keith Kile, not FSWidgets. AFAIK this is the first product released by John Hnidec after reincarnating himself as FSWidgets.Bob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
October 1, 200520 yr Commercial Member Bob is right, I remember Keiths WX application very well and he is not connected in any way to FSWidgets.PS: Actually the EFB PDF document makes it clear it was not released by John (in the interest of fairness you may want to get the facts on that). October 2, 200520 yr I registered the product and it's working fine for me. I think it's one of those utility add-ons I'll use every flight for checklists or referencing a manual. I like the open-ended design allowing a high degree of customizing.GregCYCD
October 2, 200520 yr Hello,I just bought and installed this addon - it works fine for me. I moved all of my manuals to the directory structure for the addon and built a new checklist for my TU-154B. I run mine on a second display (same computer) that I also use for GPS,etc. I think this is pretty slick for me.BTW - does anyone know where to get charts that run on this addon? Thanks,Ron Sagel
October 3, 200520 yr Author Hi Ron,You might be able to run the Fly! series Sectional charts (search for 'sectional' under Fly II in the file library). From the manual the charts (sectional) need to be in bmp format. For chart calibration, FSWidgets has a chart calibration tool under the EFB2004 downloads section.Bob
