So, did you look at microsoft.com?As long as you don't see anything there there's no news, only idle speculation and wishful thinking of the kind "my daughter's boyfriend's dog's caretaker who works for the security company of Microsoft's caterer has overheard...".

No date yet but many of us have written to Microsoft and told them how great the FS10 pre-release B787 cockpit screenshots have been. We've also asked them to please take their time and get everything right the first time. And, please don't rush the beta testing as we'd rather wait another year, or two, than have a patch later. Check http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimulator/ for all the latest info.Doug

>I know it is the age old question but it seems to have gone>very quiet on this front.>>Anyone got any news as to if and when we are likely to see>FS10>>Stu>>MAC184>http://margaritaair.com/>They skipped a year,no big deal,I hope they shift to a three year release. I think it will be a better product and give simmers more life out of their current computer and add-ons they've bought. So...if FS10 goes the usual route some screen shots will be released next spring, officially announced at Oshkosh and released next fall--about a year from now.And again, thanks to AVSIM for at least allowing some discussion on FS10 without the childish chest thumping, idiotic message deleting that goes on at site B when the simplest question is asked about FS10.David

I hope there will be a version for the X-Box 360!Barry

>Anyone got any news as to if and when we are likely to see>FS10>>Stu>>MAC184>http://margaritaair.com/Well, I can tell you straight from the horses mouth, gospel truth, etc, etc - and this is definite - FS10 will be released the day that Microsoft announce it. Official.David

I have a friend of a friend who I spoke to through my cousin on EchoLink and he told me without a doubt it'll be out by December of this year!! I asked him if he could give any details about it and he said he'd have to ask his regional manager of the Best Buy he works at for any further details, but that he'd get back to me using the pre-paid long distance calling card I sent him via DHL. I also setup a K7.net line in case I miss his call. I'm so excited!!!By the way, his regional manager has contacts deep within MS and did tell him to expect some training from MS before it's release, since it's gonna be huge!!! w00t!!

No offense intended, but I'll believe it when I see it.... :(If it's true, it's highly odd that MS hasn't announced it, made screenshots and/or videos available and other hype already.... Usually they announce it about 6 months in advance... If true, this will be less than 3....

???Are you sure those are FS10 pre-release screenshots for the 787? They look like information pages regarding the 787 itself to me...James

I think he was joking.James

Nah, no dogs and friend's neighbour's cousins involved anywhere :)

>I seem to remember reading that FS10 could be around by next>Summer. If that is the case then we may hear something around>February/March time.Thats possible, they've done a few summer releases like FS 5.1 and COF but they've done more fall release's. Marketing probably telling them that summer isn't the best time for a release such as a flight sim,too much going on outside.David

I've been a member since 1997 and they've never done that before,I don't know what the big deal is but I bet I know who issued the order. All I know is those forums are dead in the water, users can take only about so much of the heavyhand BS and childish post locking before they move on. If they had worries that FS10 posts would clog the forums they don't need to worry about that, there's very little posting going on.David
