The Southern tip of India is done. Now tiles N12 to N19 are left and then I will move it upwards

 

Also made the mesh covering Geneva and the ALps but around Lyon / Chamonix, I was suprised by the performance. Anyone wants it let me know I will upload to dropbox.

Just a couple of shots of the mesh for the ALps,  just a base mesh but even without any forests it looks nice. So I used W2XP for this area.

Thanks . You better fly the ELITE / PSX aircraft In the Alps.  get the night flight of Xplane and you are good to go.

ELITE does have a 3d representation of mountainous terrain, but it can't compare, visually, with either xp or fsx... nor does it have to, since it's purpose is completely different...

 

PSX has nothing but the terrain on ND :-) and if I want to see mountains I can use it with xp10, which does a good job there :-)

I am trying meshes for different areas outside INdia. The reason is I can't run Andras mesh on the laptop , but the meshes I have made for the Alps works very well so now I made Bella Coola but the rascal is not showing up

Some problems , suddenly my fps just drops to 2-4 from 20 , when I load the flight for that airport it is all fine but after a minute or two in the same position the fps drop.

 

Just noticed it again, I have noticed this since yesterday only when I pause / unpause the sim . So gotta investigate and then continue with the mesh , i am sure it's not the mesh , this started when I installed W2XP_Europe_MIX to test the small mesh for the ALps I had made, but after removing it and even removing all other libraries the issue persists.

It's not the pause / unpause that is chewing up the fps, I left the aircraft in the same position and after a couple of minutes fps has gone from 30 to 10. Damn what the heck.

 

I have a copy of Xplane on my backup drive , guess I will load that and check. 

Downloaded GPUShark and my VRAM is getting chewed up.

 

Why is it happening suddenly is the question.

This is very weird , can't figure out what is wrong, I mean so much fps loss suddenly on similar settings and similar scenery. I didnt' make any change the GPU settings or XPlane or anything else.

 

Doesn't look like VRAM because the usage is sitting within 1 GB (GPUshark).

Have you tried the obvious reboot? This often solves weird FPS issues for me

Tried it don't work. :( I am at a loss, the only thing now to try is remove the custom Meshes and copy back the global scenery mesh and try. have carried my laptop and the backup drive to work

Just uninstalled W10 update some KBxxxxx something something.

 

Lets see if the fps drops.

I've got all of the win 10 updates and never had any problems with fps lately in xp10...

 

But it runs now smoother than ever, and my xp10,  fsx and p3d installs never ran so fast and smooth, getting almost 100 fps! ( formal logic has this nuances.... )

What is FSX / P3d ? I have never heard about them.
