Just purchased Prepar3D

Featured Replies

I purchased Prepar3D a few months ago but, I am having issues with FSX on Windows 10.  I was forced to go back to using FS9.  Can I install it in my new Prepar3D?  Is there a charge for switching sims to run the 737NGX? Or do I need to repurchase the whole product.?

I am not entirely sure i understand the question you are posing...  But if you are asking about the NGX, bad news i am afraid, assuming that you have purchased for FSX you will need to buy again for P3D and it costs more money.  Sorry.

What about FSX on Steam?  That version of FSX seems to be working well for me. Can install my PMDG into FSX Steam without any upgrades or changes?

You can use the FSX version with steam. The FSX version unfortunately can only be used with P3D

I am attempting to install the PMDG 737NGX into FSX Steam and I receive my registry records for FSX and FSX:SE match, and they should NOT.  Please contact PMDG Support and tell them you have a COEXISTENCE FAILURE. We will give you a tool to fix this. But, there is no one to contact at PMDG that I know of they only use this forum I believe.

Yeah thanks I saw that first.  I couldn't find anything relating to my issue.

You'll need to submit a support ticket as detailed on the linked page. That is how PMDG handles direct support with customers - they don't do it via this forum. If you have never used the support portal before, click on the "register" button to create an account. (This is not the same as the account you use to purchase products). Registration only takes a moment.

Once you submit a ticket, you will receive a tracking number for your issue, email feedback etc. They are usually very quick to respond.

You probably mean "can only be used with FSX"... (or CANNOT be used with P3D)

Maybe this thread could help - http://www.avsim.com/topic/481040-02jan16-coexistence-failure-update-2/.
