I'm considering purchasing the Flight1 ATR for FSX SE. My question is: does the FSX version work with FSX SE?

AFAIK, short answer is no, but I think I saw someone say it worked but was buggy. There's no support for it or updates planned. I really enjoyed that plane in FS9 but it's been replaced with the Dash 8 by Majestic. Superior aircraft in terms of development and functionality. It's more of a taxing plane to learn/fly because more things are modeled, but once learned it's fantastic.

 

The Majestic is FSX:SE compatible and the company is still keeping up with it.

Has the ATR ever gotten an update?? That is some OLD software, and unless you really are committed to flying an ATR, I'd follow Chris' advice and get the Majestic Q400. Quality piece of software.

The Flight 1 ATR is still (12 years after initial release) the best ATR simulation available for FSX or FSX:SE

I will dead and buried long before Razbam ever get theirs released...and the Virtualcol version is best described as "lite".

 

The development team have long since gone their seperate ways and it will not be updated.

It has a few bugs and will occasionally crash, usually as a result of the FMC having a bad day. 

It is not compatible with P3D.

My one and only complaint when I used to fly it in FSX years ago after release is the single night lighting option. The dome light was so bright and you couldn't turn it off without turning off all the gauge backlighting.
