Mario, I respect your opinion, and of course you're right that a conversion isn't a simple matter of copy & paste. But all the same, as a potential customer I have to weigh the benefits of a payware scenery against those of a freeware one - and in this case, there's an excellent freeware option available, which supports X-Plane's terrain and comes with winter textures. That's two important features that are apparently missing in the payware version.

 

I don't mean to bad-mouth the developers of LOWS, as it seems like an excellent product in its own right. But personally, I prefer to donate some money to the makers of the freeware LOWS (who have chosen to make their work available to the entire community) instead of buying a commercial version.

Besides, if it has to be off until 10.50 is available (should be this week) the I don't have much of an issue with it. The quality is good, and it is great to see commercial developers of scenery pointing their products at all platforms.

Why do you have to have off on VATSIM? I fly on VATSIM and dont turn off.

If I'm not mistaken, I think it has to do with how users flying FSX or P3D appear to you. As these simulations have no sloped runways, there a visual discrepancies when you see them land while you're using X-Plane with runway contours "on" (mainly height differences, I think). But I'm not sure, I've never flown online...

If we have a separate buildings with TILTED param, it would be a terrible picture!

Even if I edit a 2 DSF (it`s not possible to correct editing on apron, it`s a centimeters quality!!!) mesh there all of your photoscenery for Alps are gone.

 

So I make a this decision, for now until 10.50 will released, all of us need to disable "runways follow..." Just for ONE FLIGHT in this airport, guys!

Thanks for the reply, but you should adjust the sales page that this default feature isn't available for your scenery ;-)

Really wish LR would dev some tools to allow changing the mesh easily, would be great to have very accurate runways and aprons etc.
