July 26, 20169 yr It would be so full of adverts you'd never get any flying done. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
July 26, 20169 yr Something along these lines is certainly the (or a possible) future. It does need a decent internet connection to work well, but it can look pretty blooming good. I'd love to see global photoreal, with this kind of 3D tech in a sim (no more Autogen Yes !!!) but I'd still rather have the data stored on my PC than having to stream it via broadband. Maybe in ten years it will all come together.
July 27, 20169 yr Indeed. We need a Google exec that loves flying and flight sims to make this happen. Some sort of module that could inject this into X-Plane 11 with VR or something would be awesome.

July 27, 20169 yr A plug-in that loads the Google data (or Apple, it is as good) literally "on the fly" into X-Plane could be done within a month, if Google would only offer an API... I personally believe this will happen at some point and it will be the final word in terms of scenery. Indeed. We need a Google exec that loves flying and flight sims to make this happen. This !!! - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
