Indeed, we should always pay attention to what Hasse has to say. His experience in this regard is extensive.

 

Something tells me that when the 7700K is available, I won't be finding the need to upgrade.

According to that leak the 7600K is overclocked stable at 5.1Ghz on AIR..

 

That's very promissing. I dont know if that is on par with the +10% over the 6600K according to the same source or someone can expect more at that OC frequency.

Don't pay attention to a single chips OC potential, silicon lottery and all.

I seem to remember a "test" showing something like this virtually every time a new chip is released. Always ends in disappointment.

I should wait for the 7700k

 

i gone do a uppgrade to 7700k but keep my best 6700k

Do not doubt that..The only thing that make me hope for this one, is that it's base turbo frequency is 4.5 Ghz. Then, the 5Ghz does not seem out of reach. Otherwise why release a 'K' version..
