I also wrote about the pantsless model, and their response seemed to indicate there was less chance of that happeneing. Well, now we have the pantsless model for sure, so I feel pretty good about the floater. :)
November 16, 200520 yr I have a good feeling for the float or amphib version.Seems like a lot of people have written to Carenado. At least I know that many of my Norwegian fellows have.So let's hope.... ;) Gunnar v.d. November 17, 200520 yr All,I spend more time in my Carenado GA planes than any of my others... I'm partial to the Cherokee though... Ther glass looks so cool...The float plane sounds great - but - what's up with the water physics in FS9 ? They really could use some work... When ever I use a float plane and land on the surface - I know it's different from the runway or flying through the air - but water ??? Hmmm - more like some sticky goo... LOL... I hope they improve it on the next version... It would make bush flying a whole lot more enjoyable...Regards,Scott
November 17, 200520 yr I've used only their older products, and while the models were quite nice and the flight dynamics felt good I wasn't impressed with the panels (too cartoonish maybe).Might try them again in the future, but I've too many aircraft already.
November 17, 200520 yr >> I've used only their older products, and while the models were quite nice and the flight dynamics felt good I wasn't impressed with the panels (too cartoonish maybe).I'll definately recommend the Carenado Cessna 182 Skylane II RG to anyone. The 2-D is ok I guess. The VC is pristine. Definately looks real :)Here's a few picshttp://chicago054.server4free.de/jeff/pics/C182RGPics.htm[Edit]I had to make it a seperate html page, as AVSIM forum software wants to automatically throw image links into an element. The pics are about an average of 600k - 700k in size, so I didn't want dialup users to not have an option to see them or not.[/Edit]All taken from the VC.The flight dynamics are very accurate as well. It's worth looking into :)

November 18, 200520 yr You definately won't regret it.They just released the Cessna 206 today! I'll be getting that the moment I get home ;)
November 18, 200520 yr Author Hey everyone, I just got the 206. NICE JOB!! Go get it. They get better with every release. I am not going to comment too much yet, as I only took a 30 min flight. I will comment later if I get more time in her today. One thing I did notice with this release is there was no looping with the throttle in the full position as there was with the 182RG. I did my flight from Green State to Pawtucket in Rhode Island. Also the profile when deploying the flaps is not an issue as with the 182RG when it first came out. The sounds are great as well. As I fly system time, I have not taken a night flight yet, but I can't wait to see the lighting. The pics look great on the web. Keep in mind, I fly VC only, so everything I mentioned does not apply to 2D. The only thing I did notice is the plane feels very heavy in turns as my yoke needed more input than with the 182RG. Anyway, I hope this gives some of you insight for this new plane. I think all of us GA lovers will enjoy this one fore a long time. Great job Carenado. Best regards, Jeff
