October 14, 20169 yr Thanks MD. It's easy to test this without Concorde. Just request a FL and then set your climb rate to 50fpm. I'm guessing you'll be nagged. Try also levelling out for a short while and see how the Controller handles that. I did experience a much earlier version of PROATC-X and it didn't monitor your climb rate. I wonder if that's been remidied. Incidentally those frequency changes were all legit as you are passed to different controllers as you climb or descend. That's how it happens in the r/w so should be replicated in any serious ATC program. Hi Ray Just to let you know ProATC will indeed ask you expedite a climb/descent if it thinks you're not doing it at a fast enough rate. I hope this answers your question EDIT: Sorry, I just saw that Mad Dog already replied. Best regards, Neal McCullough

Is there an option to turn off the monitoring If you can't hold altitude because of turbulence for example? Ray (Cheshire, England). October 14, 20169 yr Do you have an option for 'unable to hold altitude'? I'm afraid not. Once you reach your assigned altitude, ProATC is pretty lenient. I don't think it complains unless you deviate by more than 500'; but there is currently no option to disable altitude monitoring... may be something to add in later versions. it's been a while since i flew slow aircraft. I hear ya  .
