I am slowly being driven mad by an FO that says "1000 to go ALT SEL" every 5 seconds for the entire flight.  The PFD shows ALT and ALT SEL (in white) even though I am level and I somehow thought that it should show ALT in a green box.  Any ideas how I can fix?  Please note that I am using the MCPII with LINDA and although LINDA has been fixed to stop voice from cutting out this "may" play a part.  thanks,

I'm afraid, it just seems to be LINDA.

 

In a future update, we'll add options to shutoff certain sounds due to the LINDA - MCP issue.

 

Is this the only sound that's an issue?

I suppose you have figured out that by switching to another mode will make your FO to "shut up". I usually switch to "24 hour check" status after climb checklist is completed and keeps it there until its time for the "approach brief" and that kinda' sort out the problem.

 

Beside the "1000 feet" issue with LINDA my first officer normally calls for V1 as soon as we start to move but then calls "rotate" at the correct speed.

I suppose you have figured out that by switching to another mode will make your FO to "shut up". I usually switch to "24 hour check" status after climb checklist is completed and keeps it there until its time for the "approach brief" and that kinda' sort out the problem.

I have V3.1 ready with a new LINDA option that removes the Rotate call, 1000 to Go call and 'We picking up Ice' call when LINDA is enabled.

 

Please contact me so I can have you test it.
