Take note that he is using rather medium to low settings. No AI at all, trees at very dense and buildings even at normal, rather low clouds, hardly any shadows at low distances too, hardly any reflections, and so on and on. Most importantly: he is not moving. I can probably create a video too with even higher settings and then I only have to find an airport that gives my 60 fps when I am looking at one specific direction. The few moves around vc don't impress me much.

Even still, that is still impressive.  The best I've ever seen anyone get on these forums is 45 fps.    He has another video where her actual does the full taxi and takeoff with the 737 at 60 FPS.  I still don't buy it though... not with an ATI card.   They have been known to not run as well in P3D/FSX as Nvidia cards for whatever reason.    Others tell me that is bunk too.  It's so hard to tell fact from fiction around here sometimes.

I want a new rig next year too Kuragiman.  Can you re-summarize your specs. please.  How much cash do you think this puppy is gonna run you?  I wanna get a feeling about how much I'm going to need to save.

Thank much.

The beast will run about $2700 right now with all them Black Friday sales.  Normally it's $3001.    Wish I had the cash now!

1000 watt PSU isn't required if you aren't running SLI. Could save some money by opting for lower wattage. Theoretically 650 is enough, but I would suggest 850 watt. The Corsair "i" series are great PSU's. They run cool and quiet and from within the software you can configure the PSU for single rail or multi-rail. I favour multi-rail.

Why the H100i? If it's AIO water you want, rather than my favoured air cooling, why not opt for a bigger rad, thus more surface area, better cooling and quieter? IF your chosen case will accommodate it of course.

Personal preference, but I'm not that keen on the aesthetics of your case. But if you like it... all good.

The 1000 watts is exactly for that, a second 1080 later on down the road.   I want the flexibility to make that choice later.   And Tim Allen use to say on the Home Improvement show, "Ah!  MORE POWER!  HA HA HA!"

The H100i is a solid performer that I already use to cool my 3930k.   If it ain't broke, don't fix it.   If there is room for it I'll probably spring for the 110i.  It is 40cm wider but I have to make sure that case has the 280mm mounting on the top.

The case looks beast!   I didn't buy it just for it's ugly A10 Warthog looks.   I like the internal features for HDD/SSD installation and the cable management system.    I have big hands so a big case like this is nice and makes it easier for me to work in.

If you do decide on a bigger rad, check out the H115i.

NZXT have released the new X62 also. Bit quieter than the old X61.

The Samsung 960 Pro M.2 has just been released.

No problem, I'm planning to win the lottery. When I do I'll send you some dosh.... maybe!

I've just bought the Corsair H115i.  I did replace the noisy Corsair fans with STUNNINGLY quiet Noctua items.  Its excellent!

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

Ive made the switch to xplane 10/11. I can tell you my system is now being pushed much more efficiently than it was on p3d. xp has its faults but its in my opinion the future and a very good simulator now barring weather sim limitations and seasons. I can fly into LGA, JFK @ 30 fps , on mostly high settings with addon aircraft....and the dreszweki (?) nyc scenery. theres no comparison. try it, i was a lifelong fsx and now p3d user and doubter of xp, i can say xp has totally impressed me, i dont miss p3d that much.  XP does use tons of vram so get the best vid card you can get... im waiting for the 1080ti myself.

I have tried it. It is sorely lacking in the areas I require for immersion simming so Refuse to switch.

such as? once you have it lined up its very rewarding imo. im still going to use p3d but xp11 is the future unless LM updates the code on p3d. for me this is the turning point.
