I subscribe to a feed that lets me know technical problems occurring on flights around the world.

On Christmas Day an American Airways B777-200 on flight AA997 ran into some exceptionally bad turbulence - so much so that they ran out of sick bags!!

And on another flight across the Atlantic a couple of days ago all the toilets packed up and they had to make an emergency landing at Shannon!!  Don't quite know how they cleared two or three hundred desperados with Customs!

Oooh... an 'Airline Mishap' Page... looks like interesting reading!

A lot of it is the usual stuff like smells in the cabin which turn out to be nothing at all to worry about or some minor fault which nevertheless has to be taken notice of.  But every now and again there is something more interesting like the recent report of an Aurigny ATR72 where the crew temporarily lost control of the a/c due to ice accretion.  This is now being investigated as a serious incident.

You can select an option to have an e-mail sent to you each day with the latest reports.

It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you

What's our victor, vector?
