January 14, 20179 yr Hi all, On my disk, space is running really quite low, and I was wondering if I can remove some default simobjects to save space? Is this allowed or against the EULA? As in, does it count as reverse engineering or modifying? Thank you! Daniel Rehling
January 14, 20179 yr Yes, you can if don't use any other airplanes that borrow some default panels. I leave only the cessna as default and have all the others in a "hanger" on a separate folder. In your case, you can put them on a flash drive. tony
January 14, 20179 yr Well, a standard plane such as the B737 or B747 is about 40-60mb. If you think that you save a lot of space by deleting them, go ahead... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
January 14, 20179 yr Hard drives today are so cheap, to me it is not worth saving a few hundred MBs by deleting stuff.
January 14, 20179 yr While you can delete them, it is likely to cause you problems. Many other aircraft use aliases to files of the default aircraft, especially to Sound files. If you delete the defaults, you'll start finding other aircraft of yours have no sound. Same applies when you change directory names of default aircraft.
