February 1, 20179 yr Hello everyone, Is the ATC system on the new 747 FMC not simulated or am I missing something? When I press the 'ATC' button and am shown the 'ATC LOGON/STATUS' page, the four squares under 'Logon to' (where you're supposed to write the 4-letter code) are all greyed out and I am unable to type anything there. Thank you! Viorel Chiricioiu
February 1, 20179 yr If it is greyed out it usually means it is not simulated yet. Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
February 1, 20179 yr Commercial Member The ATC function would need something to log in to. There are no systems at the moment (that are widely in use) for it to log in to. As mentioned, the greyed out boxes mean the function is not available. Kyle Rodgers
February 2, 20179 yr Author I see, thank you for the reply. So for now there is no way to simulate logging on to controllers such as Shanwick (EGGX) or Gander Oceanic (CZQX)? Viorel Chiricioiu
February 2, 20179 yr Commercial Member So for now there is no way to simulate logging on to controllers such as Shanwick (EGGX) or Gander Oceanic (CZQX)? Nope. You can fill in a few of the fields, but it won't do anything. Kyle Rodgers

I was just looking through the FMC (new 747 customer) and found the ATC page and also didn't know what to do with it. Corey Langford
March 13, 20179 yr You can actually find the answer a few posts up. Kyle have already answered this quite well. And if there isn't any system available to log on to, currently, I doubt it will be available "any time soon". Best regards,--Anders Bermann-- ____________________Scandinavian VAPilot-ID: SAS2471
March 13, 20179 yr Hopefully in future VATSIM and IVAO will produce a SDK and systems with the ability to use CPDLC and the like. For now, you are stuck to using vPilot or the other clients out there. Wes Meyer
