February 3, 20179 yr Hi Doug, Im doing a delivery flight to YSSY in my new Queen VH-OEI Qantas 744. Started at KPAE and flew upto PANC then an overnight there and no en-route from PANC to VHHH Just passing Nagasaki . From VHHH i intend to do a short hop to WSSS then onto YSSY. Having a great time so far the aircraft is amazing and lives upto the PMDG standard in spades. Ill post some pics at some point. February 3, 20179 yr Author Steve - I couldn't agree more. What amazes me is that the new Queen makes me feel like I'm flying the real thing... the sounds, handling, and overall environmentals. The whine of those RB211s spooling up on the take-off roll was thrilling. As a landlubber with clipped wings, this is the closest I'll get. Trips to YSSY are nostaligic for me. I retired about 6 months ago from Lockheed Martin after 35 years. I had the pleasure of more than a dozen trips to Sydney over those years and many of those trips were on a Qantas 744. Reliving that experience in Prepar3D with the Queen is a real joy. Post some pics when your delivery is done. Strange... I was working next door and never noticed your arrival... I decided to do a multi sector delivery flight and stopover on a showcase tour to some major hubs my flight plan route was, KPAE-PANC PANC-VHHH VHHH-WSSS WSSS-YSSY Departing KPAE on and overcast morning Enroute to PANC near Sitka Finals for PANC Over Kamchatka Russia enroute to Hong Kong Departed Hong Kong for Singapore on a smoggy day. Departing Singapore for Sydney Overhead Bali Over Central Australia near Alice Springs Descending overhead the Blue Mountains west of Sydney on the STAR for RW34L Finals YSSY RW34L Vacating the RW for the gate, they even had fireworks over Sydney how ironic!
