Amazing freeware upgrade released!

Featured Replies

Classic propliners fans who are not already aware of this, might be interested to hear that the amazing C-47/DC-3 version 3 freeware from Manfred Jahn / Jan Visser and team has just been upgraded. As this product was already excellent (way ahead of a lot payware aircraft that I could name!), it is difficult to believe that it could be further improved, but it has been, with fantastic textures and some remodelling of the VC, new cockpit night lighting, interactive checklists, even more finely tuned flight dynamics and quite a few other additions and modifications. The overall result is one of the most realistic and immersive aircraft simulations available, either freeware or payware. Even if you are not a propliner enthusiast, you should try 'sitting' in the virtual cockpit of this aircraft (nothing to lose as its free!), start up those engines and go flying to the tune of an amazing sound package - you might even be converted to propliner flying!

This aircraft is available as a beta download at Sim-Outhouse and there are also quite a few repaints both civil and military available for it online. The development team deserve the congratulations and gratitude of the flightsim community for the dedication and generosity they have demonstrated by producing such amazing freeware.

Many thanks from one very happy simmer!

Bill

Superb aircraft, way in front of a lot of payware, congrats to all involved. One little glitch, cannot remove chocks using monitor panel, any ideas.

Lol - I'm afraid I could go through quite a bit of the alphabet Ed, but I am avoiding the temptation to name developers although we all know them!

Echofox, I am able to remove the chocks using the monitor panel so perhaps you have a slightly corrupt installation and maybe a reinstallation might help.

No problems with the chocks and their removal using the panel on my install.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!
