Wow, how much hard disk space is that? I made just a few tiles at level 17 covering LA to San Diego and that was about 100 GB, I have since reduced it to level 16 to save space, but just wow that's a lot of storage for sure.

I have a 6 TB drive that is approaching 90% full. But it really is quite beautiful.

Must be gorgeous but I hope Tony can work out something lighter with his experimental autogen.

I also saw a video of Oscar testing a version of Ortho4XP that imported what looked like google-earth-type buildings. But all of the tiles I have so far have overlays with autogen using XP data and HD Mesh (which I believe Tony had a hand in...so, thanks to him).

Yep, he was writing a feature to import 3D models from 3D Warehouse (or other types of obj files). 3D warehouse unfortunately drastically went down in popularity after it was sold out to Trimble (and many authors have removed their objects).

Not for me, I wasn't involved in this at all. HD Mesh is by Andras Fabian aka. AlpilotX, so a big thanks to him for that (and the default scenery)
