A2A 172

Recommended Posts

I'm considering buying the A2A 172 but only if I can integrate the RXP GNS430W into the 3D panel and use all modes.  I've read some old posts in the A2A forums that said there was an issue using NAV AP mode and integrating with the CDI.  I figured all this out for the Carenado Archer and assume I can do the same for the A2A 172.  Is there any known issues I'm not going to be able to overcome?

I'm also going to switch to P3D some day.  Is the RXP GNS430/530 P3D coming soon?

Thanks,

Bruce

Based on your PM, I tried it again..

For reasons I cannot explain, the a2a panels have AutoPilotMode=2 set

in the rxpgns.ini files for this airplane,

That should be AutoPilotMode=1, and then it works!

Thank you Bert for helping with this issue! This is next to impossible to guess otherwise!

Not even sure that is the only way.. you may have to experiment a bit.

I have AutoPilotMode=2 set but I added LinkGPS=On and changed LinkOBS=Off to LinkOBS=On and I have pretty thoroughly tested all modes of the AP including NAV with both GPS and VOR and approach and all seem to work perfect now.

Confirmed:  AutoPilotMode=2 set and changing LinkOBS=Off to LinkOBS=On worked for me also..
