Can't Open Main Panel

Featured Replies

I installed the P3D B777 and FS2Crew 777 but the main panel will not open. I confirmed the correct entries are in panel.cfg and Config Manager says FS2Crew is enabled. I set one of my throttle buttons to Autofeather Select but nothing happens when I click it. This is the same button I use for other FS2Crew aircraft (PMDG 737, AeroSoft 320, MJQ 400) and they all open the main menu.

Any help is appreciated.

Uninstalled FS2Crew and PMDG 777, reinstalled both and now it works. No idea what happened first time.

Same here. But I haven't uninstalled either yet. I don't want to reinstall all the liveries I loaded for the 777! I'll try to uninstall Fs2Crew and reinstall.

Didn't work. Now reinstalling both to reinstall.

Deinstalled both. Reset my computer. Reinstalled PMDG 777 and then FS2Crew. Enabled Fs2Crew in the panel. Assigned the buttons. Nothing. Any idea what might be the issue?

Forget it. Figured it out.

Glad you solved, but in case anyone has the same issue, what did you do?

You had to ask didn't you?lol. I thought I had set the main button key but didn't. It's been a while since I used it on P3Dv1-3. I was getting OOM's flying that stupid 32 bit simulator and threw up my hands and quit. Went to XP 10-11. That was 7 months ago.  Now, it's flying heaven with P4.

P3D V4 is the future... :-)

Should clarify what I mean't. I had set up the main button, secondary button but not the button to open and close the main panel - autofeather (arm/off).

Bryan,

I have the same problem. After I installed the latest PMDG 777 update. It appears this breaks FS2Crew.

I uninstalled v3.1 and re-installed. Config Manager says it is enabled.

I re-assigned the Main Control Panel to Autofeather on/off as a keyboard button ( the same one that had been working before i.e. "x".)

Main FS2Crew panel still does not open.

Any ideas what to try next?

Regards

Mark

Hi,

Just a quick follow-up..

In my panel.cfg file for the 777-200LR, there are 19 entries but I do not see anything related to FS2Crew...could this be the issue? Does this look correct?

Hi Bryan,

OK thx for confirming.

So I tried the re-enablement one more time today by cycling the Enable/Disable in the Config Mgr. No joy. Made sure I was running as Administrator as well, but the Panel.cfg would not update with the FS2Crew entries.

So I resorted to uninstalling FS2Crew again.

This time I deleted the FS2Crew2010 folders on both my FSXA and FSX:SE installations.

I then rebooted and re-installed FS2Crew for the T7 on just FSXA.

At the end of the install procedure, I selected Enable.

Went & checked the panel.cfg in the 777-200LR folder and 5 FS2Crew entries were then present.

Started FSXA and loaded the T7 and everything is good now.

Only changes from the original re-install from yesterday were:-

  • Removed FS2Crew 2010 folders
  • Rebooted after un-install
  • Only selected the FSXA installation.

Regards

Mark
