Don't care what anyone says about how good or bad the MiG-29 is as a combat aeroplane, from the moment I first saw one years ago, I thought it was one of the most beautifully proportioned aeroplanes i'd ever seen, and those screenies just prove it.

Fun MiG-29/Chock fact: I've got loads of the bits recovered from one of the two MiG-29s which crashed as a result of their collision during a pair routine at the IAT air show at Fairford in 1993. I got them following their examination by the RAF as part of their investigation (don't ask lol). They are mostly parts from one of the ejector seats. It's quite an eye opener to see those bits in comparison to those from a Martin Baker ejector seat (some of which I also have in my collection). The MiG's parts are quite utilitarian in appearance, actually quite roughly forged/cast in places, particularly when compared to the beautifully machined and anodised bits of a Martin Baker seat. But I guess it is a bit like with Russian tanks in WW2 like the T34 in comparison to the beautifully engineered German ones, they look a bit rough but nobody can deny that they worked well. And as evidenced by, in the case of those ejector seats in that crash both working, they might not be pretty, but they did the job well enough.

I think I agree, although I also like the F-14's look. Well, and this one, for which I'd wish someone would model one for X-Plane (they can fly in atmospheres, after all... )
