Just goes to show you don't need a monster PC to run P3Dv4. There's hope for the "thinner-walleted" among us after all.

Your Sim looks a bit blueish and strange. Can you provide any kind of picture with the whole aircraft on a clear evening? I don't know any settings in the sim what probably causes this kind of issue.

This is a screenshot from the sim directly (v). In the second pic (of the engine) that texturing issue persists.

Hi Erich, are you using any add-on apart from PTA (e.g. Envtex etc) or are these straight sim captures? Have you tried disabling PTA and seeing whether the issue persists? The 1080ti should render everything to near perfection. Does this happen only in P3Dv4? Are you using any weather add-ons when these screens were captured (such ASN/AS16 which do offer a setting to smooth out the horizon line)?

Hi Tony

I reset my PTA shaders to default yesterday, and then reapplied my preset - also reinstalled the graphics drivers and all seems to be okay from the short time I had to look around.  I'll spend more time on it over the weekend, but from what I could see yesterday, all looked good.

thanks for your help
