P3D V4 - Thanks for the updates

Recommended Posts

Gents

I've seen a few posts of frustration, but little of thanks.

I do want to say thank you though.  While it's clear that the upgrade to V4 was something of a dynamic process, I at least appreciate your efforts.  The fact is that PMDG are the only 'serious' developer who has got airliners working in the new sim, within a very short space of time.  You've kept the upgrade process flowing, and you have communicated openly and clearly with your customers with regards to progress.

Appreciate it all.

Regards

David Powell

Ditto from me too. Been a completely flawless exercise as far as I'm concerned Updating the 777, the 737NGX. Pinned announcements from RSR, top notch, all plain and simple to read and follow.

Totally echo the comments here.

I'm very fortunate to have a very fast internet connection, so all the re-downloads of the full installers never really impacted me.  I do empathize with the folks who this impacted though, I know how frustrating it must be.

However, we, as a community have pushed through that dark tunnel, and "hopefully" have seen the last of the full installer re-downloads and can look forward to the micro-update system to shine when it comes to upgrading the fleet with minor fixes and enhancements!

It has become very clear of how extraordinary this is since another developer just announced a serious push in their timeline, looking doubtful they'll even have their showcase product ready before Christmas.

I appreciate the effort you guys put in to get these birds ready for V4, we can speculate based on the extended timelines of other devs that your work was Herculean
