August 8, 20187 yr Hi Gilles, Just to cover everything: could you look on the AS map with precipitation turned on and see if it isn’t rain showers passing over you as the clouds blow by. You’ll see what you describe if you are in rain showers. Devin CYOW
October 7, 20187 yr I am experiencing the same issue myself. It is happening at different airports around the world. The rain stops and starts continuously, about every 5-7 seconds. It happens at both default and different 3rd party airports. The only additional info I can supply is that I notice when I turn on weather radar, there is a perfect circle of weather surrounding the aircraft. Not a blob, etc.....but a perfectly round circle of rain/weather shows on the radar, with the aircraft at the center.
November 2, 20187 yr Folks, Just following up on this thread and want to make sure that what you are experiencing were showers instead of rain, please verify the METAR, if there is SH or SHRA then the depiction is correct, you will see intermittent precipitation. For steady rain the METAR must contain RA, just as netshadoe described. If you are experiencing issues please submit a ticket and we will have a look at your settings, link is under my sig.
