The Great VH-OJM Retires

Recommended Posts

For those who follow such things,

The great 747-400 VH-OJM of Qantas Airways, which was repainted in all her glory by PMDG for the QOTSIII (see ops centre), has been retired by Qantas after a long 26 years in service and almost 120,000 service hours.

She was flown from YSSY as QF73 to KSFO on 30th July, then made the short hop to KMHV where she'll spend the rest of her days.

Now to go replicate her last flight, she'll do many more hours in my simulated skies!

Ditto, sad to see the B744's slowly disappearing from the QF fleet. :takut:

Indeed it is. I am old enough to remember when QF had an all B747 fleet. When overseas, it was indeed a thrilling feeling seeing the "Flying Kangaroo" 747 flying overhead.
