  1. Very cool, can't wait to see it for real !!
  2. Couldn't have said it better myself!
  3. Similar thing happened to me this morning as well. After 14hours from OMDB to YPAD on short finals I lost all controls, warnings going off everywhere, but no annunciations and no respnse to any controls or throttles. Also could not turn off / disconnect autopilot. Ended up " landing " on some Adelaide houses! ( I already had the gear down )
  4. Thanks for the update, Robert. Yet another one looking forward to a flight without the pauses. ( my first few were OK, then.......... )
  5. Thank you very much, saved me yet another steep learning curve!! :o
  6. Not much data to be had! CASA do not even list it in their chart list, the only "procedure" I could find was a requirement to be not above 1000' during circuits so as not to climb above the 1500' base for the controlled airspace above. YBBN is VERY close by. YRED appears to be a GA type airport only ( checkout the freeware FTX version )
  7. Yep, ( cost me about $200 ) but it is definitley worth it. Make lots of room on the bookshelf, they aren't small !!! Get 'em while the dollar is good.
  8. Hotfix3 was the first I installed and now getting minor freezes when disconnecting the A/P, one wing dips and creates fun on finals!
  9. Expecting mine on Monday according the Fedex website, but they are still in Singapore and have to get to my house in Perth, Western Australia by Monday! Will let you know about the charts when I get them.
  10. Great update, Count me in for Base, 600/700, BBJ's and Mil variants. Credit card has already burnt a hole in my wallet trying to escape! :( PS: Can I pay today while the exchange rate is AU$1 to US$1.11 :(
  11. :( :( I'll be picking up the keys at KBFI then onto PHNL then NFFN, YBBN, and finally home to YPPH :(
  12. :( Fedex tracker says all going well I will get my manuals August 1st ( ordered last Friday )Above quote says NGX on or before August 4th ( with the usual disclaimers ! )What are the chances of me getting any sleep next week? B) :(
  13. :( :( Yeah, it handles FSX well enough (50-55deg), but overheats when running OCCT, Prime etc benchmarks (70+ deg). 3DMark Vantage survived tho. Vcore never seems to go over 1.4V in FSX @ 4.6GHz, which is good as well.
  14. Should be quite good, you might want to try and unleash your CPU to its full potential. 3.9GHz is a stock standard intel OC. See my sig for what I just built myself. I get 25 -30 FPS with the PMDG 747,FTX AU @ FTX YBBN with Active Sky, REX2 etc all running and most sliders full right on the scale. You should not be far off this, maybe better, I have suspicions about my CPU not being one of the better batches.
  15. Was using the CH pedals until they completely died, now have the Saitek combat pedals, much better and a lot more realistic in looks and operation. Still using my CH yoke until I can afford the Saitek.
  16. :( OOPS, thought I had a sig set up with my name!Ray Sazonov
  17. Registered for the portal, I am not receiving the verification E-Mail. I have tried 3 times and checked all my junk E-Mail and Spam folders but nothing :( . I need to reinstall my 747-400X on my new computer, but get an error that I have exceeded my number of installations. Can someone please help?

Hakim, What Power Supply Unit are you using? I had a similar problem with a 480W PSU with an 18A 12V Rail that was not enough. I am now running an Antec TruePower550 with 23A on the 12V Rail with no problem. The newer good PSU's now have dual 12V rails, look for one that has at least 10A + 15A. With all the fans and the video card you are running you will need a 500W PSU minimum.Ray

Well said guys, I read the posts did what was asked and it only took a couple of days to get the fantastic product.Ray
  22. I contacted Optusnet here in Australia and have sent an E-mail to PMDG with their suggested fix. With a bit of luck we should be "flying" those 737-800/900's downunder shortly. Suggest anyone with similer problems with their ISP's do the same.
