Jeff,I wasn't using that as an excuse for CS, far from it, I agree with what you say and think on this one, I was just stating how really hard it IS to make a good buck on FS stuff because of our low numbers. On no account does my statement mean that payware developers should cut the quality -- if they decide they want to be in this business, then the quality has to be there . . . again, I was only making a point that is IS very difficult to make a buck in this business and offer quality products . . . however if they choose to step into this market, then they HAVE to offer the quality, and its been proven time and time again that it can be done . . . the Level D and the DF 727 just as two examples. Now, if there was 'real' money made on either one remains to be seen as compared to time vs money spent or collected, .There is NO excuse for any payware developer to offer half baked or not completed projects and expect to get paid full time profits. My personal opinion is that if CS could ever get their flight models proper and listen to their beta testers more, perhaps they could step up with the leaders of this field, because no one offers better eye candy then they do . . . you sure can't fault their aircrafts looks.Best to all, Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. I just flew the approach to 31C and had no problem with the Glide Slope indicator. Craig

Heh.First off, I wanted to point out that for those that think I'm a moron because I said they put in the wrong cockpit:Yes, it's true, the Boeing 757 and 767 have the same type rating. No, they aren't identical cockpits, but they are similar. That's why they can sell it to people who don't know any better.Ask any 757 pilots, there are significant differences.I do, however, apologize for my slandering of the Captain Sim logo... it was uncalled for, but you gotta admit, it was pretty #### funny ;)Anyhow, they're a shady company. OH, and I almost forgot, to those making the assumption that I bought the item without reading the documentation. I wouldn't give Captain Sim a penny ever again after being burnt on a few of their horrible products. To those who enjoy Captain Sim, go for it.That is all.

>>> Pages 19 and 20.nice try, but nowhere does it say that this is the only option.

>>Whew! Made it in before the lock. :-hah>CaptainSim releases the most incredible 757 visual model and>vc ever made for FS and they get accused of going for the>quick buck as if there was something underhanded going on.visual LOOKING. thankfully, this is a flight SIMULATOR>The CS bashing got old about the time they released the 727 a>few days late. Like the guys who still cry over the CS 707>because of a few issues, still to this day the best 707 ever>made for fs.Umm, no. the 727 bashing happened when they did a half-a- job of patching it for FS9.The 707 bashing is because the systems on the airplane, including the auto-pilot, are full of bugs and problems.Saying the 707 is the "best ever" is not saying much, since the only other 707 to my knowledge is historic airlines group which has no VC and no complicated systems.>I wonder if they complain to this day about a bad meal they>had two years ago and take every opportunity possible to bash>the restraunt and their buddies who complain and bash too even>though they have never eaten there.what a horrible analogy>I take comfort in knowing what CS did to the mouths with their>new C-130. The only real problems found with this superb>package was a few switches out of position that took a C-130>flight engineer to point out to everyone so they could start>the bashing.there were many problems, including the panel states with the config utility. Thankfully, because of all the previous bashing, CS knew if they didnt at least put out one patch, they would never hear the end of it>CaptainSim, you should know by now that you will never win>with some of these people.>Just keep making your superb products and take comfort from>the old saying, "Build it and they will come.">>Genethis sad attempt to "defend" CS against the naysayers is really a horrible job. I hope CS pays you better and you give more effort next time

>Hi Chris,>>I don't believe a 757 pilot in RL can "turn on" the Pitot>heater either.>>sure about that?

whos asking for full functionality? I just want to click on the most basic parts of the overhead and pedestal parts of the VC without a stupid 2d window popping up. nowhere does it say in the manual this is the only way to manipulate these parts of the VC. when you list all the animations etc the VC does, it is NOT supposed to be surprising that there is very limited VC functionality? Again, I'm not asking for all electrical systems to work, just to be able to turn on the lights, battery, etc

Alex, I thought you were actually trying to find some info. Didn't know you just felt like arguing. Thought I was trying to help you. If your not happy with the product then I would suggest you ask for your money back or simply uninstall or both. Quit pissin and moanin. Perhaps you should take your little plastic toy bucket and shovel and play in the sandbox with the other children. Have a great day. Craig

wow you couldn't be any more wrong, and insulting about that, as well. Don't be upset because your first insult holds no water. nowhere in the manuals does it state the VC is designed to have 2d popups and there is no way to change that. Your first insult and the typical "go read the manual, idiot" type response was extremely childish, this last one even more so. If you dont have a response, admit you were wrong, and go find somebody else to bother, the adults are talking

I don't really think adding another hundred plus dollars to solve a problem with a model that people are buying in chunks because it is cheaper is really a valid option.TIR is an excellent product. Not everyone can or wants to pay that much for it, though. ;-)Ian P.

Maybe some of the kids in here need to have their credit cards taken away from them for a while.... :-roll

>I will say, after seeing photos in airliners.net, it looks>like there was ones that look like yours ADI, Right, as you well aware, different airlines may install whatever they want (and FAA allows ;) But we just use original The Boeing Company flight manual (May 2004) as our primary reference material to be safe. >>Negatives, on the>>visal model include only a partial 3D cabin is modelled,>Right, we have modeled just the first class cabin only, but for average users' system performance sake only. As for the Wing views, we get over the MSFS model faces limit if we add the wings. All we can do is to build 2-3 models: A: Flight Deck and Passenger Cabin but NO Wing views (what's what we have already) B: Passenger Cabin with Wing views but NO Flight Deck or C: Flight Deck and Wing views but NO 3D Passenger Cabin. http://www.captainsim.com/cap_logo.gifwww.captainsim.com
