LOL!!!!! Sorry man, I guess when you become a well-to-do multibillionaire such as myself one forgets one's roots! I now have a butler who lights my stove...with matches! :-badteeth

Go buy Track IR3 or 4 and you won't have the panning problem. ce

>This block system might actually appeal to some users. It is>true that for the hard-core simmers out there, there is little>point, since they might opt for the full package. There's a>lot of people who don't care about the custom sound set, and>don't use a VC, or don't want to program a FMC. These people>might be happy with just the 3D model with a default panel and>soundset. Since the Block A is only $9.99, it might get>bought up by a lot of people who otherwise would never buy an>add-on.>- MartinI'm one of those people who don't care about a customized soudset, VC, or FMC. I bought the Block A just to see if CS quality is as good or bad as everyone seems to be saying. I happily got just what I wanted and what I paid for. I have the POSKY 757s and I enjoy flying them. I think I like the way the CS 757 flies a tad better than the POSKY's, but that's a purely subjective view. I've already installed a different soundset in the CS 757 and I'm working on another 2-D panel. It'll keep me amused for a while.IF I wanted a VC, FMC, etc., I think I'd hold out for one of the other 757's on the horizon. Forgive me for saying this, but the full CS 757 package at $50 + seems rather like putting all those bells and whistles on a POSKY 757. That is NOT a slam to either CS or POSKY; it just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.Bob

>This really looks and sounds, like someone wanna do the quick>dollar, sorry captain sim, but not with every potential>costumer.>>Regards>DanielWhew! Made it in before the lock. :-hahCaptainSim releases the most incredible 757 visual model and vc ever made for FS and they get accused of going for the quick buck as if there was something underhanded going on.The CS bashing got old about the time they released the 727 a few days late. Like the guys who still cry over the CS 707 because of a few issues, still to this day the best 707 ever made for fs.I wonder if they complain to this day about a bad meal they had two years ago and take every opportunity possible to bash the restraunt and their buddies who complain and bash too even though they have never eaten there.I take comfort in knowing what CS did to the mouths with their new C-130. The only real problems found with this superb package was a few switches out of position that took a C-130 flight engineer to point out to everyone so they could start the bashing.CaptainSim, you should know by now that you will never win with some of these people.Just keep making your superb products and take comfort from the old saying, "Build it and they will come."Gene

ive done and read through them, please point out the page number. kthanks

>>I cannot understand why (supposedly) grown men can fly the>most complex airliners on the flight sim market, but cannot>read the website before blindly purchasing a product.limited functionality such as no FMC VNAV etc is fine. but I cant even TURN ON THE LANDING LIGHTS in the VC without a 2d panel popup. That is utterly ridiculous

What's up with CS making add-ons that require a 3gig processor at minimum??? That alienates allot of simmers who otherwise would enjoy this product. I thought I'd add this comment because this is ridicules that PMDG can make a 744 on the level that they have with minimum performance hit on mid-range systems and CS can't even make a dumbed down 'lite' version of the 757 that doesn't require top of the line hardware. Sounds like a lame excuse for bad programming to me.... :-erks For those checking I have a 2.8gig processor with an ATI Radeon9800 128 video card... :-boom

Well folks... I usually don't post in forums discussing or comparing developers or the fruits of their labor. I think all contributors to our hobby, whether paid or not, deserve respect for the work they do, and efforts they put forth. I saw some 'fanboyism' going on earlier in the thread, and for all my opinion is worth, I'll say this: If you like a developer, their products, etc., your best support is done with your hard-earned cash. There really is no need for "My Developer Beat Your Honor Roll Student" kind of crap, especially if someone is having trouble with the addon... You've had success? Very well! Instead of a curt: "Well mine works just fine!", why not direct a person to the correct source of information? Sorry, for the rant, I just think this mentality is short-circuited on a defensive ego...I never considered myself a 'hardcore' simmer. True, I own LDS, and PMDGs QOTS, and operate them to the maximum potential of my understanding of their systems, however with CS 757 I saw a chance to learn the plane step-by-step as it came out in blocks, and was especially excited by the amazing videos of the plane in action. What I got was a mixed bag. I don't mean the Blocks B, C and E that I purchased, but the impressions that I received from the product. I admit, I purchased based upon the scant list on the intro page and the preview shots and videos, not the manual that was provided on the site. But after all, the minor complaints that I have in regards to the design functionality of this plane are based on established expecations for payware in our community. I think the rest of the 'unhappy crowd' is probably a victim of their expectations as well. Let me clarify... For example, when I purchased the plane, I scanned through the manual for basic controls and systems overview, saw that it was fairly simple and moved forth to explore the plane. When I saw that clicking on the buttons on the mini-panel did not reflect on the overhead, I blamed myself for perhaps botching the install or 'operator error'. I went onto the support forum, saw no other posts on the issue, and posted a 'bug' question. After reading more into it, I've realized that I let my expectations from the products that I have encountered or own guide my expectations for the preliminary package that was released. That was the source of confusion, and not lack of clarity from CS. Mind you, but nowhere on their site's description of Block B does it say "Fully-functional VC", which is what we all have come to expect from our payware developers. I am sure this will be amended in later Blocks, and I will purchase those as well. I did have some other minor glitches with the viewpoint panel use and sound, but since most of those issues were brought to their attention, I am sure they will be addressed in the future update.I respect CS for their previous work, their on-going work, and simply for who they are and where they come from. The founders defended the skies over my Homeland when I was just a kid, and showed that true enthusiasm and enterpreneurial spirit can overcome all boundaries. My hat is off to them! For all those having issues with the product, I think direct contact with the developer would help more than stating something on the forum, and risking being berated by some of our less than mature posters for simply overlooking a sentence on a website or in a manual.Well, I wanted to put forth my 2 cents, and instead it came out more like a whole dollar... :)I wish everyone well, whether you agree with what I said or not...Respectfully,-----------------------------------------Sergey Kireyevhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg

>Dude, Jeff, chill! This is just unwarranted. The only CS>product I own at present is the 727 with which I have had>since its release date and which I have enjoyed every moment>since. that product also had its hiccups at the release but it>turned out just beautifully. That is quite a funny remark! I also only have one CS product, which is the 727, I also have had it since its release date and I have NOT enjoyed a single moment with this since!1. It was originally released as a "technical release" because the aircraft simply had not been completed on release date. It had completely unrealistic flight dynamics.2. At a later date a revised flight model was released, which was equally unrealistic and it was more or less impossible to fly the airplane due to its "strange" behavior during turns. All this shortcomings have been confirmed by a real-world 727-pilot, quite well-known on this forum.3. The final flight-model may be "acceptable" but still seems to be far from "realistic" (also confirmed by real-world-727-pilots).Obviously the "other" 727 is much better regarding the most important part (at least to me!) of an simulated airplane: the flight model!

>EDIT: Jeff, your a moron when it comes to planes. Your posts>clearly show this.Go to www.fsaddon.com download Jeff's video's and then come back and say what you just said?Jeff's flying is without fault's and his video's inspire me to become as good as him.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/

What's up with it ? Simple. Most add-ons you see advertised say something like this: This product is only compatible with FS2004, so of course, FS2004 is required. For your computer, we recommend you have a 1.6 GHz machine, with a 128 Mb memory video card. System memory should be a minimum of 512. Low-end on-board sound chips are NOT recommended. A plugin sound card, such as a Soundblaster Audigy, is recommended. In some cases, sounds will not work correctly unless you have an adequate sound card. That's from the Level D site. Try running the Level D on a 1.6 Ghz machine and see what you get. At least they are honest (CS) Craig
