This is all rather confusing. And confusion is the vendor's worst enemy./Goes back to PMDG737.

>>So if you want the>hardcore version just chill, have some patience, enjoy the>beautiful 3D model and wait for the release of block F.I have better idea - if you want harcore version don't buy anything yet, wait for all pieces to be available and read reviews, opinions before you buy anything. There is no guarantee that those hardcore versions will ever arrive, but if they do there is no guarantee they will live up to what they promise. That's how a 20-year old should behave ;)Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpghttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg

Hi Chris,I don't believe a 757 pilot in RL can "turn on" the Pitot heater either.

I see folks saying the VC isn't clickable which is just plain nottrue.Your right most things on the main panel are clickable. I think though what is being referred to as being non clickable relates to the Overhead and peddestal panels. On these you just can't click on a switch, instead it brings up a larger 2D sub panel. This is actually a good idea when used in conjunction with the smaller (So as to not block the entire screen) 2D overhead panel, but it shouldn't have been done this way in the VC.You're right though, most of this is stated in the prepurchase material up front, so we can't really complain. I only decided to buy this, for it's aged Panel. While I'm sure LDS will probably have a equal and most likely superior (in systems) product. Judging by the 767 it probably will have a panel, that looks like it's right off the Boeing assembly line. I liked the idea of having a model that looks like it's been around a while sitting in my hanger. I was just a little surprised the Block B didn't have a 2 D panel, while block A did. Looking back though on the product page I see it is stated there now, I don't remember it being there when I looked and purchased yesterday. Even then the one for Block A was only the default 777 panel.

Thanks

Tom

I understand that not all folks have 2 monitors but I do so it really doesn't present a problem. I rather like the idea of the pop-up with the pedestal and overheadbecause in many VC's it's darn near impossible to see the swithces etc. Craig

...then you have to wait for the "Pro Line" instead of excpecting all features to be implemented in what the above graphic clearly states "simple functionality".What part is so confusing about it?Pat

>Dear Friends,>>The first day of the '757-200 Captain' sales has shown that>some people get confused by the new Product Lines and Block>System.>>We hope this Buyer's Guide will help our customer to make a>more informed purchase decision and increase product>satisfaction:>http://www.captainsim.com/products/b757/20...yers_guide.html>>>>http://www.captainsim.com/cap_logo.gif>www.captainsim.comTranslation:Our sales suck now... please buy our half-done, rushed products that will never get patched to function as they should. I mean, heck, they release a 757 that has a 767 cockpit just to make a quick buck.... that's pretty low. Oh, wait, it's in the BLOCK system. Does that block guide say 'We might sell you the wrong aircraft, but wait for Block G!!' ??Sorry, couldn't resist. And no, I won't be buying another CS product again :(

Edit: Image removed. Consider this a first and final warning. Do not EVER desecrate any company logo in this forum again.-JC

>...then you have to wait for the "Pro Line" instead of>excpecting all features to be implemented in what the above>graphic clearly states "simple functionality".>>What part is so confusing about it?>>PatALL FEATURES?I cant event light up the VC at night like the shots show. I cant even click on ANY button on the overhead panel. I wouldn't be surprised if the MCP and other panels also function in this way.Whos asking for full system functionality? I just want to be able to turn on the aircraft lights, battery, and other basic things by clicking on a button in the VC instead of a 2d panel popup. NOWHERE Is that mentioned. I wish I paid via paypal and Id demand my money back

With all due respect: This is part of an article I found on a Google search. After an order of 30 copies of the launching customer United Airlines, in 1978 Boeing decided for the building of the B767. Simultaneously, the manufactur also developed the B757. That is the reason for the same cockpit design, in order to call an example. Also the two types can be flown with only one type rating (but you have to know that there are smaller differences, why for example the rating for the B757 also entitles to fly a B767 only with an auxiliary license.) As you can see at one time they both had the same cockpit design. In all the photos I have found on the web the CS cockpit certainlylooks like a 757 to me. As far as you changing the wording in the CS Logo I think that 1.) You are acting like a child. 2.) You are dangerously close to libel. As you state...you are an armchair pilot...not the real deal as are most of us. Sincerely, Craig

Dude, Jeff, chill! This is just unwarranted. The only CS product I own at present is the 727 with which I have had since its release date and which I have enjoyed every moment since. that product also had its hiccups at the release but it turned out just beautifully. You are slamming the 757 without properly reading the instruction manual and the details on the website, all of which spell out clearly what's included and what is not and then go on to make assumptions about CS' future behavior. What is this kindergarten here?

Of course you read the manual(s) provided for free before making your purchase; correct ? If you had done that then you would have known EXACTLY how the panel(s) functioned. I've had no difficulty turning any of the functions on and off. The more I read some of the complaints the more I'm convinced that a lot of folks either CAN'T read or WON'T read. Craig

Has anyone noticed that the majority of the people complaining the most about this product have "Level-D" signature banners? Quite interesting, really. If they're all so loyal to Level-D and don't expect any other payware company to "come close to the realism and authenticity of a Level-D product", then why are they spending their money on a competitor's product anyway??If you're all so convinced that nothing is going to come close to Level-D in realism or reliability... then shut-up and save your money for Level-D's 757 when it comes out!!!Makes no sense to me at all!Alex

What is the issue with companies thinking no 2D panel is the way to go?? We are not even close to being able to run 100% VC in a complex plane like a Boeing. I understand the RealAir planes, but they're very simple analogue gauges, not CRTs!Simmers who want to simulate as close to real numbers as they can aren't going to be happy watching all the gauges stutter around like crazy. VCs are just difficult to use IMO, considering you have to pan all over the place to get to certain switches. Add a third party panel... http://deephousepage.com/smilies/chair1.gif:-erks
