September 8, 20178 yr Hello Folks, Am new to P3Dv4; is there a way to have all aircraft open in vc view rather than from the rear of the airplane? Thanks for suggestions! September 8, 20178 yr Moderator Yes, set up your flight the way you want it and save it as default. From then on it should open the same way. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

Vic Vic, Is this true for non-default aircraft as well? It's my understanding that only default aircraft can be used in default scenarios. September 8, 20178 yr No, you can use whatever aircraft you want in the default scenario. Just be aware that the A2A planes are currently bugged in regard of this, means: if you use an A2A plane in your default scenario, the texture resolution is bugged and will go one step down each time you change your settings. And even more important: most complex airplane addons do not really like if they are used in a default scenario, because the initiation of some systems might be corrupted or not correct. So, the best thing is nevertheless: use a default plane in your default scenario. Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
September 8, 20178 yr >>No, you can use whatever aircraft you want in the default scenario.<< No, doesn't work with PMDG's 737 either. P3D won't even start up when I have a PMDG 737 in the default scenario. I don't know if this happens with other PMDG aircraft as well. September 8, 20178 yr Moderator You asked if you "could" use non default - yes you can but it is generally not recommended if the a/c is a complex one - like the PMDG products. You are ALWAYS better off to have a simple a/c as default - it sets variables to zero and is a clean startup. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
September 8, 20178 yr Yup, even some comparatively simple GA aeroplanes will refuse to crank up if you have them load as a default aeroplane flight, but its a cr@p shoot, some pretty complex ones will work just fine with it. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
September 8, 20178 yr I've had to try several scenarios as defaults. Some would lock P3d depending on aircraft or location, a bit more unstable than FSX which handled all my saved flights well. I have one flight in Reno that always works, so I usually load that, then change aircraft and airport before flying. An extra step, but a good workaround and I can fly where I wish. John
