  1. Did internet search, then ran FTX vector configuration tool, and that fixed it!
  2. will try but dont think that is the answer, as no problem with other airports.
  3. Hi Folks Using FSX default airport, and ORBX global, vector, and LCNA. Need help to keep the cars and buses from crossing my taxiway! Please! Thanks
  4. Hi Folks I have a set up with 3 ASUS 24" monitors. Have had them for perhaps 4 years. Recently the left monitor flickers occasionally; on some flights more than others. On a 30 min flight I get maybe 2 - 3 flickers. Then other days maybe less or none. I have swapped the cable from left monitor with center one, to see if the center one flickers. But NO, it doesn't. Maybe now I will switch out the power cable to see if that could be causing it? Have never noticed a flicker on the monitor when doing other stuff and FSX is not loaded. Anyone have a idea?? Don't want to have to buy another one unless necessary. cheers Lennie G.
  5. Thanks everyone!! Now I'll head out to Alaska!
  6. Thanks, that should keep me busy for several weeks!!
  7. I will check it thanks!!
  8. Hi Folks Can't believe that i had never flown in Alaska. Saw a TV special and last night took a short hop from PANC to PAAQ. So nice I am going to invest in ORBX Alaska soon! If you fly a lot in Alaska, please recommend a couple very scenic routes. Not over 60 min, as us older folks need a potty break! I don't have a bush plane, will use the A2A 182 or the B55 Baron, so keep it to asphalt r/w please! Suggestions greatly appreciated! Lennie G. in North Carolina
  9. Thanks! Gotta figure out how I can manage this!
  10. Hi folks Is this modeled? If so appreciate help in using on decent. Thanks!
  11. Following up, i normally use the 750 in most aircraft and especially like it in the Turbine Duke. As far a realism or fun is concerned, I tend to lean toward realism. As an example, a couple of my grand kids ages 6-8 want to fly when here. When they deliberately choose to fly into a building or whatever, I say its time to quit. If they want to learn how to properly fly the default 172 I am glad to assist, and they can fly as long as they want to. Anyone else experience this with kids? I think of sim as a "trainer" and not a "game" regardless of what TIME calls it!
  12. Certainly agree with you on this one, Bert! The Caravan is one of my favorites, and I found a better freeware sound-pack that is an improvement, especially using the reverser. cheers Lennie
  13. ALT+Enter always works for me running 3 monitors.
  14. Thanks jabloom! I will make a note of that. I did finally remember that my 10 year old son, some 25 years ago said "if it doesn't work, re-boot". That was good advice then, and now. A reboot fixed it!! He even made a sign and put it over his mother's computer!!
  15. Hi folks I have had AS16 for a few weeks now and all seems good. Today I loaded in a flight plan, checked the map to be sure it was there. Loaded FSX and entered the same flight plan into the GTN 750. So when tuning in 122.00, .02, .05 etc, I did not get any sound, nor a text along the top of the monitor. I checked FSX ATC and all is well there. What have I missed? Any help much appreciated!! Lennie G Old North State NC
  16. Thanks Bert!! I didn't see a way to adjust the little one. Will have to look further! Howz the weather out there in BC?? Lennie
  17. HI I like the small PFD displayed at the top right, nice to have this when looking out the windshield. However when i set the ALT pressure in the PFD, the small one does not change. is it supposed to, or is it mainly for use above 18000? Thanks!!
  18. Hi Dan, what a cool idea! As a former Virginian flying out of Shannon [EZF] but down in NC now and only sim-flying, wish there was a 'club' in this area. Lennie
  19. OK. Many thanks that what i needed to know. I have more time at this stage in life a few extra minutes is really no big deal!
  20. Hi everyone! I am fairly new to AS16 and really like the weather engine. I also use the GTN750 with every plane in the hangar. When I construct the FP in AS16, then load the sim, I again have to enter the FP in the GTN750. Is there a way to migrate this from AS16 and not have to re-enter? Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Maybe i should ask this in the Flight 1 forum? Lennie
  21. JIm, Greatly appreciate your advice. I am sticking with W7 Pro. My system seems to be working fine now. Only an occasional quick blink in my left monitor [running 3] and my computer tech recommended changing the connecting cord first to see if that would be the problem. Just haven't been to the store yet. cheers Lennie
  22. Sue, agree completely. Noel, they kicked me off a couple months ago - an innocuous comment to a post - the originator probably did not get blocked. Frankly I have not missed orbx forum. There is plenty here on avsim! Lennie
  23. I moved to W10 couple months ago. Bad decision, nothing worked. Had to get a computer guy to wipe the HD and start over with W7 - and reinstall a HUGE bunch of stuff. Am sticking with W7 as I can't see that W10 would be better fit for me.
  24. Jim, I am a little "thick-headed"! Maybe walk me through this scenario: I am in eastern US time zone at 18:00 - load AS16 and live weather gives me actual UK weather at 2300 hrs there?? [currently 5 hr time dif] But to enjoy the scenery from say Coventry over to Manchester I would like afternoon weather at 1500 hrs - 3pm; so to get that weather I need to use historical and not live weather? Or am I over complicating things? cheers!
