Aerosoft Antarctica X worth it?

Thinking about getting it, does anyone have experience with it?

Bought it years ago - I think when it first came out.  Found it was really impressive - lonely and compelling, the way you'd expect Antarctica to be.  But I didn't use it much.  The bases are very far apart - makes it hard to fly there in slow aircraft (which most of them are in Antarctica) when you have limited time.  Have thought of getting back to it but I never get beyond that stage to actually reinstalling it.

Could be worth a try, though - your experience might be different.

Thanks for the feedback, I might just get it! I love low and slow type stuff but getting down there seems to be a bit hard...

I used it extensively in a round the world trip. Liked it.  Seasonal lighting on immense expansives of snow was really nice.  Worth the money

Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.

And you get a ski equipped DHC-6 Twin Otter included. I was a beta tester on this project. It's an amazing package technically and it's interesting to learn the unique flying / radio procedures down there. Hint: Don't let your skis get stuck in the snow. But it is very sparse, lonely and cold so If you are into that you'll love it, if not, be forewarned because the feeling really permeates through this extraordinary scenery.
