  1. Back to the OP's topic: The all new Toposim Mesh has impressed me. It has indeed become my mesh of choice. My P3Dv3 loads quickly now...no hang at 6% like with FSGlobal. The detail is unsurpassed and you have a developer who actively supports his forum and honors his past commitments (even though they were from a different company). Go to the Toposim web site and check it out for yourself. This is the sort of developer worthy of our support.
  2. Right now it's scenery incompatibility caused by a certain developer.
  3. For AI, My Traffic Professional 6 by Burkhard Renk works well with edit voice pack and is actually under perpetual development. Poppet's patience advice is well stated.
  4. UTX v2 is now vector and landclass (both urban and vegetation).
  5. Might want to check out the new Toposim mesh from Justin Tyme: http://www.toposim.net/distrib/
  6. Look, I'm uninterested in another Avsim argument but quite interested in getting to the point of the OP's posting. Yes, of course, it is unwise to jam up the C:\ drive Precisely why MY my documents, pictures. etc,. is on a 3rd storage drive, E:\ As an esteemed developer yourself I'm sure you realize LM is trying to get 3rd party developers to place their stuff outside the root folder of P3D. Agreed, placing it automatically in average users C:\ drive is not thoroughly thought through. (Say that 3 times) However, Real Air gets it. Burkhard Renk (MyTrafficPro) gets it. I have my own Add-On folder on my E:\ drive. The benefit is I don't have to install FS Global Ultimate, Turbine Duke or MyTraffic Pro at every P2D update or hotfix. Ever open to suggestion, I'm curious to know what your solution is. C
  7. My Documents folder is not on my C:\ drive. What's odd is that the location is a different folder than what is described in the SDK Prepar3d v3 Add-ons\ Prepar3d v3 Files\add-ons\
  8. The path on my system is: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Prepar3d v3 Add-ons It is separate and alas, empty. C
  9. Dear Guys and Dolls, Look I've downloaded it too. But remember, 3.2 had a quick fix update release shortly after release? Just wait a few days before installing it. Unless you're a developer, what's the rush? Take it easy. It will all work in due time. Clayton
  10. Good move. Depending on cash available, Samsung Pro, Samsung Evo or Crucial, in that order. No defrag. I have 7 of these assorted in various machines. None have failed.
  11. Also, if not previously mentioned, make sure the checksum of your download matches the one on the download page. This guarantees the download is not corrupt. Among others, HashTab is an easy and convenient way to do this: http://implbits.com/products/hashtab/
  12. Anyway, the ANSWER to my originally posted problem: It was the video driver. I installed the latest from nVidia, 364.xx. My friend Thomas told me that the 364.xx series were bad on his system -- lower frame rates and bad stutters -- and that he'd gone back to 361.43 and it solved all that. So I tried that ... and it made all the difference! Good to know Pete. Thanks. Also the best thing I did for P3D was to install it on a dedicated Samsung 850 Pro with Rapid Mode.
  13. Yes, indeed. The new ol' Flight Environment X (FEX) for P3D from Flight 1 is working well.
  14. Be careful with the Wake Turbulence (WT) settings if you are not used to WT in sim. Especially if you fly GA. It will flip you, spin you and crash you. I set mine to 40. Clayton
